In need of a laptop for online classes

Good day!

I’m Sheriena Gail Mendoza, an Accountancy student from Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

I want to raise funds to buy a laptop because today, my university is engaging into online classes and it is predictable that they will continue to use this platform to avoid mass gatherings given that there is still no vaccine for the COVID-19. I only have my smartphone right now and sometimes, I can borrow my cousin’s laptop but they will also start their online classes soon and I won’t have anyone to borrow to. A laptop is indeed a necessity for a college student like me because a smartphone is not enough.

My smartphone can withstand at most 2 hours of online classes through Zoom and after that, my phone will hang up and lags. It also suffers from overheating due to the power consumed by applications for online classes. A laptop, on the other hand, offers a bigger screen for reading and making files and requirements to be passed online. It also has a longer power compared to a smartphone but it is expensive. Specially in the Philippines.

My mother, who is an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) in Italy cannot afford to buy me a laptop right now because of the problems at her place, too. That’s why I’m seeking the help of fund raising like Airfunding to help me gather funds to buy a laptop.
