PREGNANT DOGS IN CANCUN STREETS

STERILIZATIONS project in Cancun

We are very happy that so many dogs in Cancun can leave their horrible past behind and find loving homes.

However, this is not a solution to the problem. The solution is both the education and the spaying and neutering of as many dogs as possible to stop the cycle of thousands of puppies that are born every year on the streets towards a life of disease, hunger and cruelty.

Dogs are often hit by cars and have to live carrying their wounds.

We have approached the Cancun government to get support for our spay and neuter efforts in the poorest areas.

This request repeatedly fell on deaf ears and they are not prepared to help.

$ 500 MN PESOS will cover the cost of a spayed or neutered dog in Cancun.;

An unsterilized dog and her offspring can produce more than 7,776 puppies over a period of five years.

$ 500 MN PESOS to save a potential of 7,776 dogs is, in my opinion, amazing.

We currently have at least 20 pregnant dogs in a small town alone, this could amount to 1,200 puppies from only these 20 dogs.
