Please Help me to raise funds for my College Education.

I am Keanu Francois Aquino, 19 years old, and an incoming college freshman this school year 2020-2021.

Leader of the Supreme Student Government

I graduated from Bunsuran National High School, a public school in Pandi, Bulacan where my family and I currently live. I had been a consistent honor student throughout my stay in high school. Furthermore, I had also been given the opportunity to lead the highest recognized governing body of our school; the Supreme Student Government, after being elected as President.

During my term, I implemented resolution orders which aim to raise environmental awareness, anti-bullying campaigns, safe learning institution ordinance, among others. I also initiated a fundraising program and donation drive last Christmas for the less fortunate and underprivileged students of our school

Having been a staunch advocate of good leadership, I have been awarded the Leadership Award by my school, which is only being given to few, deserving students.

I also became a volunteer in Religion Teaching Force

Aside from being a student leader, I am also working as a volunteer Religion teacher in our locality. I joined the Religion Teaching Force of our Parish as a Catechist to teach the pupils in our local elementary schools.

I highly think that it is important to inculcate spiritual values and the importance of God's word to children as early as possible, so that they may carry these lessons as they grow older. As a trained public speaker, I am also usually tasked to administer seminars about the Holy Sacraments and the doctrines of the church in our Parish every weekend.

This primarily influenced my dream of becoming an educator. I want to become a Professional Teacher someday so that I could help educate my fellow citizens, not just academically, but also spiritually. I want to use my voice for a greater purpose, and I believe that it is my calling to share what I have through teaching.

I am facing financial Difficulty

just like everyone else, my family and I also face hardships in life. Seven years ago, my father had been involved in drug-related activities, causing our life to slowly crumble into pieces. My parents separated, and my father is currently incarcerated for five years now. We were forced to leave our house and stay in a small apartment.

My mother, who is now a single parent, strives to provide for our family; but because of her deteriorating age, she could not find a stable and permanent job. As her child, it pains me to see my mother working tirelessly just to support our needs. But in spite of all these challenges, I still choose to look at the brighter side of things and turn all of these hurdles as my inspiration to persevere.

In order for me to have my own allowance, I have been selling different sorts of food at our school. Not only it supported my studies, it even helped us pay our bills. I also tried working on several jobs, such as; Assistant Secretary, Vaccinator, and many others. Our life may have crumbled into pieces, but little by little, I am certain that I can put them back together if only I continue to strive hard for my dreams

I also applied for several scholarships offered by The Philippine Government, however, due to CoViD-19 Pandemic they will not be accepting new qualifiers as of the Moment.

My utmost and sincerest desires: University of Santo Tomas.

Aside from being an educator, it is also one of my utmost and sincerest desires to study at the Royal and Pontifical University of Santo Tomas.

I believe that the quality education offered by the university will greatly contribute to honing my skills and prepare me for becoming the best educator that I can be.

After years of preparation, I finally took the University of Santo Tomas Entrance Test last October, and by the grace of God, I was able to qualify on my first choice of program----Bachelor of Secondary Education.

Now, I am only one step away from achieving my ultimate dream. Enrollment is fast-approaching, and I still don't have enough money to pay for the tuition fee. Bachelor of Secondary Education Tuition Fee at the University of Santo Tomas costs around Php. 55,000.00 per semester, or Php. 110,000.00 per year ($1,180.00 per semester or $2,360.00 per year).

Due to our financial capability, we cannot solely shoulder the cost of my education. This is why I started my fundraising platform. I am seeking help for those who are financially well with a kind heart that could help me with my crowdfunding project which aims to raise funds for my college education. My family is financially challenged, and without help, I certainly cannot make it to my dream university.

I am knocking on your generous hearts. Please help me support my project. I am a hard-working individual who takes my studies very seriously, and I always pour my heart out in everything that I do.
